Obituary For Ronald C. Kurtz

Ronald C. Kurtz, 72, of Middletown, RI passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Hope Health Hospice and Palliative Care.

Born in San Diego, California, he was the son of the late Robert and Marjorie (Strait) Kurtz.

Ronald enjoyed winters in Key West, Florida with many friends he made over the years and spent summers walking and biking in Newport, RI.

He worked as a manager of the officer’s club on the Naval base for 30 years before retiring.

Ronald will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his hard work and his loving spirit.

He is survived by his brother, Tim Kurtz of Texas City, TX along with his daughter, Christine (Kurtz) Sorensen and her husband Larry of Loomis, California. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Luke Adam Sorensen and Brooke Nichole Sorensen and 4 great grandchildren.

    Ron was a great person, an incredible person, a rare person. He was always for life's underdog and anyone in need. Always offering a helping hand to those in need, without being asked. He was eager to volunteer his time and his resources without ever asking for or expecting anything in return. Everyone will tell you that he was a great companion and loyal friend. They will also tell you that Ron was loved by everyone and didn't have an enemy in the world. How many people can say that? Not too many!
