Robert Long passed away in his home on Sunday, July 26, 2015. He lived in Bristol.

He was the husband of the late Dana L. Long.

Mr. Long was the son of the late Stewart M. long and Frances Minnie Westerman, from Ellsworth, Kansas.

Robert was a steel worker for over 20 years at Electric Boat, Quonset Point. He served in the US Navy and was stationed on the U.S.S. John King (DD-3). Robert was a social member of the Engine 2 the Ever-Readys. Robert really enjoyed to restore things in his spare time. He is survived by his son Robert Long Jr., and wife Lynnanne of South Boston Ma., and daughters Jill long of Bristol and Jodi Silva and husband Thomas of Bristol.

Robert has three grandchildren Melany Lynn Silva of Bristol, Samuel Long of South Boston MA., and Dana Lee Silva of Bristol. Robert had two siblings Ronald and Janice Long who are still living in Kansas.

A graveside service with military honors for Robert will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:00 am in South Burial Ground, Sowamsett Avenue, Warren, Rhode Island.
