Obituary For Mathew J. Haworth

Mathew J. Haworth, affectionately known as Mattie, of Swansea, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 24, 2023, at the age of 47. The son of Joanne (Walsh) Silveira and the late John Haworth, Mathew was a lifelong resident of Swansea.

Mattie was known for his joking nature and quick-witted sense of humor. Mattie possessed a strong-mind, incredible intelligence, was resourceful, boundlessly creative and would often be found working on his vehicle. A free spirit at heart, Mathew found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a special bond with his beloved dog, Rusty, and cherished spending time with his family and loved ones. Mathew's warm and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to share in his company.

In addition to his loving Mother, Joanne and her husband Joe, Mathew is survived by his brother, Joseph Silveira of Otis, MA; his sister, Heather Silveira of Coventry, RI; and his two Aunts, Linda Dooley and her husband Kenney of Pawtucket, RI and Sheila Monteiro of Pawtucket, RI and his Uncle Dan Walsh of East Providence RI. He was the grandson of the late Joseph and Maria Silveira.

Arrangements are with Family's Choice Cremation, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI. For tributes, please visit: www.familyschoicecremation.com.
May the memories of Mattie's laughter, creativity, and love bring comfort to those who knew and loved him. Please share a memory of him.

Hey brother, I'll never forget the day we met I was sitting on the bridge fishing and you and Joe flew under the bridge in that bad ass hovercraft. We were best friends from the start. Remember all our forts we had everywhere. I love you brother say hi to my son for me and keep an eye on him. R.I.P.
