Obituary For Kathleen F. Shepard

Kathleen F. (Donahue) Shepard, 82, of Bristol, RI, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 after a long illness. A daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Maston) Donahue and the beloved wife of the late George Shepard, Kathleen moved around a lot in her life, from her hometown of Worcester, MA to Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Rhode Island, Georgia, then finally back to Rhode Island, where she settled in Bristol.

Kathleen began her career as a teacher and moved on to owning her own florist shop before beginning her career as a Medical Practice Administrator, which she continued to do until her retirement. She was known as a very generous, loyal and faithful person who was always ready to offer a hand to those in need. In her leisure time, Kathleen loved tending to her plants and flowers, painting and quilting.

Kathleen is survived by her son, John Choquette of Belmont, MA; her daughter, Jean Choquette; her sister, Sheila Riendeau, and her husband, Roger, of Tiverton, RI; her grandson, Kevin Curran; and three nieces and three nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary King.

Arrangements are with Family’s Choice Cremation, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885. A Private Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.

    Katee was one of my favorite patients. She made me smile every time I saw her. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer myself last year katee made it a point to always ask how I was doing. I even received multiple cards from her while i was recovering. She made an impact on me and I will not forget her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. -tracey
