Elaine Marie Bouthiette, 71, of Coventry, RI, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025. Born on April 27, 1953, raised in Bristol, RI, she was the beloved daughter of the late Agnes E. and William McCarthy. She shared her life with her late husband, Richard Bouthiette, for over 46 years.

Elaine grew up in historic Bristol as one of 14 siblings, where she developed her deep love for family and her unwavering patriotism. She graduated from The Newport Hospital School of Nursing and devoted her professional life to caring for others, spending much of her career at Bay Tower Nursing Home in Providence.

Elaine's greatest joy came from her love and pride of her family. She is survived by her sons, Christopher Bouthiette and his wife Kimberly of Glastonbury, CT, and Carl Bouthiette of Coventry, RI. She was the proud and loving Nana to Lindsey, Lucas, Henry, Helena, and Nathaniel Bouthiette.

Elaine also leaves behind her siblings: William McCarthy, Elizabeth McCarthy, Marian McCarthy, Barbara Rawson, Jonathan McCarthy, Cyndi Cole, Brian McCarthy, Gregory McCarthy, Joseph McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy, and Lisa Klorer. She is predeceased by her siblings Christopher McCarthy and Virginia Conway. She leaves many nieces and nephews, as well as her dearest cousins, Barbara Doran and Melanie Moore.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Warren Center for the compassionate care they provided to Elaine in her final years.
