Obituary For Edward R. Hindle

Edward R. Hindle, 71, of Seekonk, MA passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Miriam Hospital Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Rebecca (King) Hindle for 25 years before his passing.
Born in Providence, RI he was the son of Carolyn (Bourne) Hindle and the late Edward A. Hindle.
Ed was an avid sports fan, especially the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, the New York Yankees baseball team, and the Green Bay Packers football team. His personal basketball career began at Warren High School and continued at Barrington College, along with many summer leagues, including Burrs Hill Park in Warren, RI.
He amassed a large collection of Beatles memorabilia of which he was very proud. He loved bird watching, going to the beach and gardening. His passion was being a nursery manager at his family's business, Evergreen Tree & Landscape. He was
also a member of the RI Nursery and Landscape Association. His family
Christmas tree farm in Touisset Warren, RI was one of his most beloved places to
be. Every year he picked out the perfect tree.
Ed was a funny, kind, friendly man, who had many friends. He was extremely
proud of his children’s accomplishments and attended almost every sporting event
in which they participated. He enjoyed conversations with people wherever he
went whether at a game, with family, at church or school functions, or at one his
favorite local stores, Stop and Shop.
Most of all, Ed loved his family and his beloved kitty cat Lilly.
Ed lived by the simple words of the Beatles, “All you need is love.”
Ed is survived by his wife: Rebecca; his children: Edward and Emma; his mother,
Carolyn Hindle; his brother Lawrence Hindle and his spouse Ellen Hindle; his
sister Virginia Cole and her spouse Todd Cole; as well as many extended relatives
and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father Edward.

23, 2026 at 10:00 am at The Seekonk Congregational Church: 600 Fall River Ave.
Seekonk, Ma 02771. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be

Sending my deepest sympathy at this very sad time. Eddie was a high school friend and always one of the kindest people I've known. He was so very proud of his family - I'm hoping you will all find great comfort in knowing he will always live on in your hearts.

Eddie was the kind of teammate and friend you're lucky to cross paths with — steady, kind, and always good to be around. He brought heart to the court and warmth to the people around him. He'll be missed, and he'll be remembered. We lost a genuinely good man. Rest in peace, Eddie.

So sorry to hear about Eddie's passing. We fondly remember his presence on the Cole Street soccer fields cheering on his son and the Black Goose Soccer team. He always had such a friendly and positive spirit about him. Please know your entire family is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Sincerely, Joe, Lori & Ethan Albuquerque

I's so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I got to spend lots of tome with Ed when we both worked at Jamiel's Shoe World on and off for 9 years. Ed was 'one of the boys' back then. Good memories from that time so long ago. Ed and I reconnected on Facebook a few years ago and we enjoyed the back stories and present stories especially about his children. Ed never missed a chance to react to my post and always sent something positive. You will be missed by all .Jeanne
