Dennis Albert Stoddard, 72, of Riverside, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Advenia Care in Providence, RI. He was the loving husband of the late Glenna (Borsina) Stoddard.

Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Calvin B. and Phyllis Irene (Nye) Stoddard.

Dennis was hard-working and conducted maintenance for a boating company for many years prior to his retirement.

He will be remembered for his big heart, kind soul and his willingness to help others in need.

He is survived by his sister, Kathleen “Kit” Melfi, wife of the late Joseph C. Melfi Sr., of Riverside, RI; stepdaughter, Amanda Winfield of Mansfield, MA; his siblings, Alan, Steve, John, Dennis, Linda and Bobby; his supportive brother-in-law, George Byrnes of Riverside, RI, his good friend Kenny Sceeles, and many nieces and nephews. He was the loving stepfather of the late Jeremy O’Connel who passed away in 2010.
