Obituary For Cynthia B. McGill

Cynthia B. McGill, born on 10/10/1947 to Barbara Crother and Raymond Searle, died unexpectedly and peacefully in her home on 5/28/2024. Cyndy will be remembered for her intelligence, her kind and generous nature and overall lovable personality. Cindy enjoyed a rewarding life as a mother, an attorney, a devoted friend to many and most importantly as a grandmother.

Cyndy was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 1965, the University of Rhode Island Class of 1969 and Western New England Law School.

Cyndy enjoyed the simple things in life like sipping on Iced Coffee or Sweet Tea, taking a ride by the ocean, watching one of her grandchildren’s school events, or having lunch with her sister and friends. She enjoyed laughing and sharing stories about her past memories and most recently spoke of adventures in the community with her new friends at the Peacedale residence.

Cyndy is survived by her sisters, Patricia Whittet and Meredith Shaw, her two sons, Justin and Ryan McGill and her grandchildren, Kullen, Cole, Kai, Quinn and Rowan McGill. Cyndy adored her children and grandchildren and was a constant cheerleader and unconditional supporter of their endeavors. She also had a deep appreciation for her extended family members and friends, both old and new.

Cyndy is cherished and will be missed by all who knew her, as she held each relationship with gratitude and kindness.

Arrangements are with Family’s Choice Cremation, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885.

To All family, friends and loved ones of Cynthia, we will have a Celebration of Life in her honor at the Mettatuxett Yacht Club, 36 South River Drive, Narragansett, Rhode Island 02882 on Sunday July 7, 2024, from 2-5PM.
