Obituary For Christopher A. Cochrane

Christopher Alan Cochrane, 55, of Warren, RI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27 2024. Chris was a graduate of Bristol High School, class of 1988. He was a long-time employee of Leonard’s Safety of East Providence, and most recently Stop & Shop in Bristol.

Chris enjoyed his family, friends, playing the guitar, visiting new restaurants or old favorites, and was skilled at recreating some of his favorite meals at home. He also enjoyed road trips, especially with his brother Chuck or friend Holly Pray. The road trips were short or long, exploring new or old spots along the way, stopping for a sunset or whatever struck his fancy. Chris was quick witted, always ready with a joke, a bit of sarcasm or the answer to a question no one else in the room could remember.

Chris is survived by his mother, Barbara (Sousa) Cochrane also of Warren, formerly of Bristol. . He is the son of the late Charles A. Cochrane, Sr, He is also survived by his lifelong friend and former wife, Tina Ramsey.

Chris is the brother of Charles (Jennifer) of Somerset, Robert (Dolores) of East Providence, and the late Jacalyn (Bill Dispirito) of Fall River. He is survived by ten nieces and nephews, nine great-nieces and nephews, and four great-great nieces and nephews. Chris loved each of them, but had a special closeness with his niece Courtney Maturi Moore who grew up with him like a sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM, December 13, 2024 at St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood St. Bristol, RI.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Grace Barker and Hope Hospice for providing the utmost care, dignity, support, and comfort.
