Abenante, Bruce Joseph, 54 of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4th at home, surrounded by his family.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Frank and Joyce (Tivey) Abenante Perry.

Mr. Abenante served briefly in the US Army. Bruce has owned both a catering and carpeting and tiling company. His interests included Harley Davisons, animals, scuba diving and loved his family very much. He was a member of the New Hope Christian Church in Swansea.

He leaves a sister Kym Thurber of Bristol and step-father Edmund S. Perry. He was the brother of the late Frank Abenante Jr. He also leaves his nieces, Jennifer Gomes, Kelly Abenante and Kristen Teixeira; nephews Shawn Thurber and Matthew Thurber.
