Obituary For Arlene S. Sanderson
Arlene S. (Head) Sanderson, 89, of Bristol, RI, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at her brother’s home in Newport.
Born in Providence on March 6, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Madeline M. (Dunaj) Head.
A social butterfly, she enjoyed having her favorite meal (scrod Florentine) at Uncle Tony’s, taking drives and spending the weekends at her son and brothers.
Arlene loved life, shopping and taking trips to the casino but she was most fond of watching her grand-dogs Ash, Luke, Toby, Pope and Kipper.
She is survived by her son Ralph J. Richmond Jr. and her brother James F. Head Jr. She was the sister of the late Robert R., John W., “Jack”, and Michael T. She was the wife of the late Ralph J. Richmond and Emmet Sanderson.
Arrangements are with Family’s Choice Cremation, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 11 AM in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren, RI.
