Obituary For Archie Fortin

Archie Fortin, 81, of Bristol, passed away on October 14th, 2024. Born in Warren on May 4th, 1943, Archie lived both on the West Coast and in the East Bay of Rhode Island. He was the son of the late Archille and Annie (Sanchas) Fortin.

Archie proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany. In his free time, Archie loved fishing, clamming, and boating. He will be deeply missed and remembered for his sense of humor and fun-loving spirit.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicki Ann (Fortin) Tyska; granddaughters Drew and Hope Tyska and his loving girlfriend, Sue Sears. Archie was the brother of the late Henry Fortin, Wilfred Fortin, Alice (Fortin) Durand, and Beatrice (Fortin) Ferreira.

Services are with Family’s Choice Cremation, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 4-7PM at Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI with a 6PM Funeral Home Service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Archie’s name to the East Bay Food Pantry, 532 Wood St, Bristol, RI 02809.
