Obituary For Annette (Campeau) Roy
Annette Florence (Campeau) Roy, 91, of East Providence, Rhode Island, passed away on October 27, 2026. Annette was the beloved wife of the late Douglas Bruce Roy, with whom she shared 63 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2018.
Together, they built a beautiful life centered on devotion to one another and their family. Above all, Annette was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the heart and backbone of her family—a woman whose strength and unwavering dedication held generations together. Her greatest joy came from seeing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren thrive.
After dedicating many years to raising her three children, Annette began another meaningful chapter in her life when she went to work at the East Greenwich Free Library.
She leaves behind her three loving children, Daniel Roy, Janine Roy, and Diane Carnevale; seven cherished grandchildren, Tristan, Lindsay, Joe, April, Vanessa, Joseph, and Tayla; and seven beloved great-grandchildren, Margo, Oliver, Anneka, Ashley, Nicholas, Lilly, and Nico. Annette was the last surviving of five sisters.
She was predeceased by her beloved sisters, twins Jeanne and Joan, Constance, and Doris. The sisters shared a lifetime of memories and a bond that lasted for generations.
While her absence will be deeply felt, she will be remembered with gratitude by her family, friends, and neighbors. She was our strength, our foundation, and the heart of our family. She will be missed beyond words.

Cousins, our hearts go out to you. Auntie Ann was one in a million. She truly cared about each of us. We saw it on her face when she greated us. From when we were little jumping in the pool, to watching fireworks in the back yard. I remember her asking if my Thomas was reading, and I said yes, but it's "captain underpants"... she told me, "that's ok, as long as he's reading. Her smile was warm and welcoming and she always had our backs. We will all miss her, but are comforted that she is at peace now with uncle Dougie and the rest of the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. Love, cousin Donna

Danny, Janine and Diane, please know that I am praying for all of you and also pray that all our parents are reunited once again in heaven. Oh the stories they must be sharing and the dancing they must all be doing in heaven. May God keep you and your families in his grace during this challenging time.

Auntie Annette was so special to everyone. Her kindness and the love she had for her husband and her family, including her sisters and their families, were most special. I remember the delicious spice cakes she brought over to my mom (her elder sister), Jean Campeau, when she and Uncle Doug stopped by for dinner. She was a lovely woman and will be missed for her quiet strength, fortitude, and loving heart. My prayers are with the family and friends she shared so much with. Thank you, Aunt Annette - your spirit is always with us! 💛 ~ Love your niece, Kathleen Patterson-Sarasin

Dear Roy Family, Please accept our sincerest condolences on the passing of Aunty Annette. My siblings and I have fond memories of Uncle Doug and her coming to our house to play cards with our parents. We especially loved her most delicious spice cake and still talk about how excellent it was. She was such a kind and thoughtful Aunt whom our mother dearly loved. We pray that the memories of her bless you with smiles and wisdom. Sincerely, Theresa & Stephen DeRiso (the 10th child of Jeanne and Charlie Patterson)
