Anna A. Almquist of Riverside, RI passed away at home on August 28, 2015.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vernon C. Almquist for 66 years.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Taylor.

She is survived by her daughter Dale Rideout and her husband Barry and her son Glenn Almquist and his wife Patricia; Grandmother of Meridith, Rachel, Jenny, Taylor and Christopher. Great Grandmother of Grace, William, Alexander, Benjamin and Hudson; Sister In-law of Edna Phifer. Ann greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

She was a member of St. James Church, Armed Guard, Riverside Recreation Association, Briggs Beach Association, Popham Light and the Womans Initiative. She loved bowling with her neighbors, exercise classes, sewing, gardening and traveling with friends. Ann will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015 10:00AM at St. James Church, 49 Middle Highway Barrington RI 02806. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence RI 02904.
