Obituary For Robert Henry Thurber

Robert H. Thurber " Bob the Roofer" Friend to All

Robert H.Thurber 71, passed away peacefully at Hope Health Hospice in Providence on Sunday June 20, 2021. He was the husband of Barbara DePina. He was along time resident of Bristol. He was employed for over 30 yrs. at Northeast Roofing. Bob was an avid gardener and an excellent craftsmen. He enjoyed watching Nascar Races and football. He loved his family and and especially the great grandchilden. In addition to his wife Barbara, Bob leaves behind his brother: Ronald Thurber, stepdaughters, Kim DePina and Holly Cabral, four grand children and four great grandchildren and several nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents Albert and Theresa Thurber, he is preceded in death by his sister Lauri Tetrault. A celebration of Bob's life will be held next month at the Common Pub in Bristol.

    7/2/2021, Bob, was a great person, always thinking of others, first! He is my first cousin, we grew up together, as our parents were all related, siblings, everywhere! I Can't say enough about him,. He would help anyone in need. A great kid, growing up in Darlington, amongst his family, aunts/uncles/ cousins, his Memere Jeannette, Uncle George ., the Thurber's, the Berthelette,'s the Bessette's, and I could go on and on. He joins his loved ones, his Mother, Theresa and his Dad, Albert. "Blackie", his sister, Laurie Tetreault. He leaves behind his wife, Barbara, their family of children and grandchildren, his Brother , Ronald Thurber , and many cousins and in- laws. He will be sadly missed by all, who knew him. We will not forget him!! Rest in peace, my wonderful cousin. Rest in Peace. Love you, Elaine Plouffe
