Obituary For Paula Chapman

Paula Brenda (Waller) Chapman died September, 16th, 2022 at the age of 78 from acute myeloid leukemia. Paula was a loving wife of 57 years to Fred Chapman, a devoted mother and grandmother, and kind friend.

She was born in Sussex, England, lived in the South of England and South Wales in the UK, and then emigrated to the Buffalo, NY area in the US in 1990. She enjoyed almost twenty years of retirement in the Florida sunshine, before moving back north to Rhode Island.

Paula had a deep love for her children and grandchildren, her husband, and to several things that brought her joy. Among them: gardening, sewing, and ice cream. While her health may have been declining over the past several years, this did not stop her from enjoying the last two years of her life living near her state-side family in Warren, Rhode Island.

Paula had strong faith in Christ - a faith shared with her husband. Both were at peace at the time of her death that she was with her Lord and Savior. As she herself said while in hospice, she was grateful to be "in His everlasting arms."

She will be greatly missed by those her loved her: her husband, Fred, her children, Emma, Melissa and Danny; grandchildren, Harry, Josh, Samuel, Tia, Halyna, Noah and Hope; her sister Leslie Robinson; and many friends.

A private memorial service will be held on Prudence Island, RI, on Friday September 23rd. The family requests no flowers be sent, but for those moved to give a donation in her name, please send donations to:
