Jason G. Arruda, 49, of Warren, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in his home. The son of Francis J. and the late Olive (Manchester) Arruda, Jason grew up in Westport before moving his family to Warren nine years ago. He was the husband of Rebekah (Butterworth) Arruda, having shared many wonderful years together. Jason loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle any chance he got, frequenting New Hampshire for the sights and the great riding with Rebekah. He looked forward to his yearly trip up to Laconia with his cousin, Billy, for Bike Week. Jason enjoyed spending time with his many friends, riding or playing cards. But most of all, he loved spending time with his loving wife, granddaughter, Jordyn and his beloved dog Bella who was always right by his side. Jason worked as a truck operator for M&W Livestock in Tiverton for many years, and regarded everyone there as his family, especially his closest friend, Wayne Moniz. In addition to his father, Francis and his wife, Rebekah, Jason is survived by his daughter, Kayla Arruda and her fiance Angelo of Fall River; his brother, Edward Arruda of Westport; and his late brother Francis Arruda, Jr.; his granddaughter, Jordyn Lillian Fernandes; his beloved dog, Bella; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; his father's long-time companion, Rita George, and all of his family at M&W Livestock. Family and friends are invited for a memorial service in his honor on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI.
