GARRETT, BARBARA (RYAN) passed away peacefully Tuesday, the 31st of January at her home in Lincoln, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Providence in 1937, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna (Olivo) Ryan.

She was the beloved mother of 9 children with the late Barrie M Norton Sr of Cumberland; Beverly Norton of Lincoln, RI, Barrie Norton Jr. of Naples, FL, the late Bradley Norton, Barbara Frank of Spring Valley, OH, Brenda Gelinas of Downingtown, PA, Beth Mitchell of North Providence, Brett Norton of Pawtucket, Robert Norton of Newton, MA and Bryan Norton of NY, NY. She is also survived by her brothers Fred "Mitch" Ryan of Florham Park, NJ and Howard "Chuck" Ryan of Norwich, CT, 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Maggie.

She is the widow of Kenneth Garrett and the widow of Hilding "Gus" Pearson.

Barbara was a longtime employee at both Twin River Casino and Howard Johnson's Hotel in Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in her memory to the RI Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907.

A funeral mass was held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 4 at St. Judes Church in Lincoln.
